Mr. Richey joined Precision Plastics, Inc. in 1977 as their Accounting Manager. During his tenure at Precision he has held the titles of Controller (1981), Vice-President of Finance (1988), Executive Vice-President (1991) and President (1997). Currently, Mr. Richey is President and CEO, as well as Chairman of the Board, for Precision Plastics.
From unique work scheduling, like the 30/40 program where employees worked six (6) hours and were paid for eight (8), to early recognition of benchmarking advantages, Mr. Richey has led a number of progressive initiatives at Precision. In 1997, Mr. Richey led an employee purchase of Precision stock from Keller Taylor Inc. Today Precision is a 100% owned ESOP and has several second generation owners. Precision was a founding member of two industry benchmarking associations that currently number hundreds of companies among their members. During his career, Mr. Richey has served on local, state and national committees for the Society of Plastic Industry, Society of Plastic Engineers, and the Manufacturers Association for Plastic Processors. Mr. Richey has a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University.
Mr. Richey is married to wife Kris, a writing consultant and archaeologist. The couple has two adult sons: Ryan is Executive Vice-President at Precision Plastics, Inc. while Brad works as an I.T. Technician for the New York City Public Libraries. An avid sports enthusiast, Mr. Richey enjoys golfing and motor sports, camping, and traveling.
